Who We Are

Stephanie Plafcan

Owner/Office Manager

Stephanie is the owner/office manager of PWD Manufacturing. She maintains everything relating to the “front office” which ranges from greeting customers and salespersons who stop by the shop, sending out quotes and invoices for customers, and managing the day-to-day tasks to ensure PWD runs smoothly so that the machine shop can provide the best products for its customers.

Alex Plafcan

Owner/Shop Manager

Alex is the owner/shop manager of PWD Manufacturing. He has 15+ years of experience in this industry from job shops to production shops. Alex has experience working with manual lathes and mills, CNC lathes, mills, water jets and other various machines.

Alex will be in charge of the products that come out of the machine shop; he will make sure that the job, whether it is for repair or manufactured new, will be of the highest quality.

Services

CNC Mill Work

With the use of our CNC Mill, we are able to focus in the production and prototyping of products with accuracy and precision. Using CAD/CAM software, we can produce parts up to a dimension of 50" x 20" x 25" with a tolerance of ±.001. Our experienced machinists will ensure high-quality parts that meet your specific requirements.

CNC Lathe

Shafts are our specialty. We are proficient with turning on a manual lathe, but when producing a product that requires not only speed but precision as well, we have the capabilities to meet both expectations. We provide services on a CNC lathe with 30" maximum swing, 17" cutting diameter, and 34" cutting length with ±0.0005 tolerance.

General Machining

We offer services on both a lathe and a mill, allowing us to dedicate our services to the repairing and replacement of fixtures and tooling for a variety of applications. We provide services on a lathe with 20" x-axis x 80" between centers, as well as a mill with dimensions of 50" x 20" x 25" with ±0.001 tolerance.
